One KM Shopping Mall is the largest shopping centre in eastern Singapore’s Paya Lebar Central near Park Place Residences. Spanning 210,000 square feet, the structure houses more than 150 shops, including Japanese clothing giant Uniqlo, and a number of schools for children’s reading, martial arts, and music programs. The three-storey mall opened to the public on Nov. 30, 2014, with a ceremony headed by Fatimah Lateef, Member of Parliament.

One KM is home to businesses such as DC Comics Superheroes, Paya Lebar Post Office (previously the Singapore Post Centre Post Office), and American fashion label ESPRIT. It also features three eateries under the Chinese-based Paradise Group banner: Paradise Dynasty, Para Thai, and Beauty in the Pot, the last of which is known for its signature hotpots with shark collagen broth. Other shops include Hong Kong-based Giordano, one of the most popular brands in the Asia-Pacific. In 2015, OneKM became host to a dinosaur-themed obstacle course and climbing wall, which complements the shopping centre’s tagline of “Making Wellness One-Derful.” There are also shopping centres like City Plaza and One KM Mall together with schools including Tanjong Katong Girls’ School which is a short drive away.
Constructed where Lion City Hotel and Hollywood Theatre previously stood, OneKM is expected to accommodate 170 to 200 shops at full capacity and offers over 500 parking spaces. It also serves the 200-plus residents of the Katong Regency condo above the shopping centre. In its design, One KM incorporates open-concept structural features including a central atrium with a skylight 25 metres above, second-storey food court garden, and glass-canopied piazza. Prior to its completion, One KM received two International Property Awards for architecture (Asia-Pacific: Singapore category) in 2014.
UOL conceived One KM as a themed shopping centre that will remain competitive against the growing popularity of online shopping worldwide. UOL Group is one of Singapore’s oldest exchange-listed companies and one of the largest property management companies in Asia.
One KM Shopping Mall is located on 11 Tanjong Katong Road and is accessible by bus, shuttle, and MRT (Paya Lebar station).
